Dry needling of the shoulder

Dry Needling

Targeted Muscle Resets and Tension Maintenance

Unlock persistent muscle tightness and accelerate healing with Dry Needling. This skilled intervention involves thin, filiform needles used to release “trigger points” - hyper-irritable spots within a muscle. By improving local blood flow and resetting the nervous system, Dry Needling provides rapid relief for acute pain, chronic tension, and muscle imbalances.

Why Choose Dry Needling?

Unlike traditional massage, Dry Needling can reach deeper tissue layers to elicit a “twitch response,” which helps the muscle fully relax and reset. It is a highly effective tool for:

  • Chronic neck and back tension

  • Tension Headaches

  • Overuse Injuries

    • examples include tennis elbow, Achilles tendinitis, shoulder pain, hip pain

  • Improving mobility for lifts and sport-specific movements

What to Expect:

Most clients feel an immediate change in range of motion and/or a decrease in muscle tension or pain. I often integrate this with active movement or loading to ensure your results stick long after you leave the clinic.

Note for New Clients: To ensure your safety and provide the most effective treatment, Dry Needling is only available to established patients. All new clients must first book an Initial Evaluation to be thoroughly assessed and determine if Dry Needling is the right tool for your specific goals.

Wellness & Prevention

Proactive Care for the Active Body

Don’t wait for an injury to stop you in your tracks. Wellness Visits are designed for those who want to optimize their movement, stay ahead of potential issues, and maintain a high level of performance.

What’s included:

  • Full Body Movement Screen:

    • Identifying compensations and mobility restrictions before they lead to pain.

  • Recovery & Maintenance:

    • Targeted manual therapy, dry needling, or mobility work to keep your joints resilient.

  • Long-Term Strategy:

    • A plan to keep you resilient, high-performing, and doing what you love for years to come.

These visits are ideal if:

  • You are healthy but want to fine-tune your mechanics for running, lifting, cycling, swimming, tennis, golf, pickle-ball, or daily life.

  • You’ve finished formal rehab and want periodic check-ins to ensure you stay on the right path.

  • While I am not a Medicare-enrolled provider for rehabilitative physical therapy, I specialize in providing wellness, maintenance, and prevention services to focus on long-term performance and proactive health rather than treating acute medical injuries, ensuring you stay active and resilient.

Movement is personal and your care should be too. If you’re stuck between choosing which service is right for you, we are here to help.

The Pivot: Book a New Client Evaluation ($220 for 60 minutes) and we can discuss and pivot during our first visit. Adjusting your plan of care in real time is what I do best!
